nice shot!we're looking at heading down to this area end of next week for spring break...what time of year was this taken? i know they've gotten a ton of snow this year out east, but if it isn't rainy i think we'll head out anyway.

Re: nice shot!Mind if I stow away in your trunk? JK...If memory serves this shot was taken around this time of year in 2005. The few years I was down there this was a typical winter scene...little to no snow even in the high peaks. Should be quite a different story this year. Heard 50" on LeConte!! That rivals anything the UP has! My guess is you'll have to use the Flat Laurel Creek Trail to get up to Black Balsam as the Parkway is surely closed! Have fun and bring back lots of pics!!

Re: nice shot!i will have to keep that information in mind... we are actually heading to florida first for a few days, then coming back to MI through south carolina/north carolina. if things look crappy i think we'll stay further south (table rock sp or nearby) but otherwise this looks like a great little detour on the way home!
