Re: What a gorgeous, gorgeous shot!Just curious--how did you get out there? Crust skiing? I haven't tackled that trip in April (and I can't crust ski, so I'd have to do something different)--but it sure looks rewarding.

Re: What a gorgeous, gorgeous shot!Snowmachine. There was plenty of snow in April 2009 and of course the river was fully frozen over. I was shocked to see this whole area essentially free of snow and ice a few weeks ago when I visited AK again. Given the distance to the glacier (8-10 miles?) I don't think I'd ever ski in.
