Next time your in the ADKs, consider the Great Range Traverse. It's an exceedingly ambitious single day hike, typically taking 18 hours or so. SP member Mudrat has an excellent trip report.
Thanks for reading. I have hiked the Great Range in 2 separate sections, maybe when I am feeling ambitious I'll try it in a day.
