A giant " crocodile head " , at the Kohlberg ! : Photos, Diagrams & Topos : SummitPost

WOW ! What for a very spectacular rock ! Here, we are staying at the base of a very big and scary " crocodile head " ... The climbers will certainly beeing happy for climbing on this site, but they have to know, in advance, that the site is not equiped and secured for the practice of this sport (there are unfortunately, any traces of bolts or rings, which are fixed in the sandstone walls ! ). It's a big fault, but it's so : we have to do with, the Kohlberg is located in a private forest (the restrictions are very strict here ! ). You are here in the heart of the " Pillet-Will / Pimodan " private forest ! You can walk and hike in this forest, naturally, but with beeing very respectious with the natural element : the Kohlberg is free of access, but there are any marked ways or paths for reaching easier this beautiful and wild rock ... The site is very difficult to locate and to find, to approach ! You have to be already a little bit experimented, for coming here ... Sorry !
