A Lonely Trail

On December 9th, 2007, I set out in search for some ice in the canyon. Though we have not seen much moisture here on Colorado's Front Range, I remained optimistic. Castlewood Canyon was completely empty during my weekend visit. Because of the recent snow and empty park, I was close to making fresh tracks but some animals had beat me to the punch. I enjoyed following these prints and I am still in the process of determining what species of animal they were from. This photo was taken from Cliff Base Trail.
