The Best Laid Plans

of mice and men often go astray. As we did. This was to be an attempt to get to the Eye of the Sandias, a painted image on a rock overlooking Tijeras canyon. But as our guidebook says, the trail is sketchy at times, and we lost it. Encountered some beautiful vistas and wildflowers, so I thought I would share. One of these days we will get there, but scrambling up the mounds and climbing to above flight pattern level did me in and I was too wiped to finish the rest of the hike and then walk back down. Down sucks.
