Above Val Travenanzes

We are in Val Travenanzes, the long and interesting valley between the groups of Tofane and Fanes. Above the valley one can see also these interesting red rocks. Geologists are calling them Raibl formation and they are older than the dolomite rocks. Their red colour supposedly comes from desert sands, being layered and compressed in millions of years.
