ACCESSING THE PTARMIGAN TUNNEL TO AHERN PASS GOAT TRAIL, #3

At this point it is simply a matter of traversing the cliff to reach the trail's main portion. Top two figures are actually on that trail, and upon wrapping around the cliff, it becomes quite obvious where you are going, like it or not (there's no way off!). By this point you have an understanding of your reaction to exposure, and either continue...or turn back. The exposure does become more pronounced. Photo by Vernon, July 20, 2005.
