Great snowshoe trip
If you think this is a great conditioning hike in spring, try it in snowshoes. In winter, the summit becomes a kid's dream sledding hill, so bring something to slide on or wear slippery pants for the trip down (photo of summit in winter posted to Adams Mtn page).
I think a sunny winter day might just be the best time to do this trip. Many nice glimpses of the Swan from the logging road through the bare trees, and the contrast between the healthy evergreens, blue sky, and white snow make even your stretches in the trees very pleasant. 2875 and 2869 seem fairly popular with snowmobiles (we saw a number of old tracks) which might make this a nice xc ski tour also. It sure would have been fun to have my skis with me at the top. Maybe next year!
We had to park just past mi 6 on Good Creek Rd as the road was plowed at a different depth at the start of the gravel, so our total distance was around 12 mi.

Adams Mountain
A very nice summit for an easy effort. Beautiful day in Montana. Hiked with Rebelgrizz and JFK.
