When on a trip to New York, I like to spend a few days hiking. So far I've climbed Prospect Mountain, Hackensack Mountain, Thomas Mountain, Cat Mountain, Peak 1326 ("The Pinnacle"), Brown Mountain, Huckleberry Mountain, Five Mile Mountain, Fifth Peak, French Point Mountain, Hadley Mountain, Mt. Severance, Kipp Mountain, Bartonville Mountain, Buck Mountain, Shelving Rock Mountain, Black Mountain, Crane Mountain and Chimney Mountain. Not that I'm counting.
One of my very favorite places though I've only spent brief times there in 2002 and 2010. There is something about the Adirondacks that always make feel 'whole' and in the moment to use cliches.

MuddirondacksLove the area...wild and untamed. Every time I go, I am reacquainted with true mud. Just adds another element to the whole adventure.

Daks!!!Playground for new yorkers. Beautiful place to hike, bike, rock and ice climb, ski, kayak and canoe.

Mt. Marcy ClimbBeautiful Day for the climb. Started up the mountain at 5 a.m.

bear and othershiked bear mountain(my 1st) and others during the summer of 1991. great experience in a pristine, rustic area. i thoroughly enjoyed the entire trip!
