| A peak that is overlooked, and probably because it is annoyingly placed and annoying to scramble up. But I took a pack (a serious mistake I promise) to get a beat on a morning run up Ipasha, said to be one of the continent's great views. I was too gassed to find out though. You won't be bothered anywhere near Ahern. There is no water despite what Edwards in his guide book and the map seem to predict. It was a dry night and the glacier was too steep to go and grab handfuls of in the dark. I slept on a slide of scree but I never saw so many stars and will remember that sunset and that night forever. | |

| Climbed ahern as a day trip from the loop back in 2006. Hit up Swiftcurrent mountain (and lookout tower) on the way back. Was a long day, but I'll never forget the views from the pass and up to the summit. Truly memorable. | |

| Climbed via Iceberg Notch in August of 2010, on my way to Ipasha Peak with friends Ely and Tyler, both bellmen from the Many Glacier Hotel. Descended Ipasha via the Cattle Queen drainage and hiked out the north highline, then down to a shuttle car at the Loop. 14 hours total. Best hike of my life. | |

| Climbed up and through Iceberg Notch and descended to Ahern Pass. Took about an hour to summit form the pass. Exceptional views of Helen Lake, the Livingston Range, and five of the park's six 10,000 footers. Looks like the traverse to Ipasha would make for an exceptionally long day! Hiked out the Northern Highline to Granite Park Chalet, and returned to Many Glacier via Swiftcurrent Pass. | |

| Climbed after taking 5 hour nap at Ahern Pass to wait for thunderstorms to pass. Summitted Ahern and Ipasha at sunset and camped at lake on the nervous traverse. Highly recommended traverse. | |
