Alaska as New Mexico

It wasn't surprising when one of my hiking partners pointed out that the scenery looked very familiar to the Sangre De Cristo Mountain range in New Mexico. I guess the reason that Alaska can look like New Mexico in Springtime is that these mountains are 3,000-4,500 feet instead of 12,000-13,000 feet.
