Alpine Ice Climbing
This album includes pictures of Alpine Ice Climbing. That means traditional ice climbing on alpine mountains.I think this is one of the most beautifull ways to climb a mountain. Climbing on ice gives you a very unnatural and special feeling. The cold temperature on an alpine ice climbs makes it a very demanding and hard discipline.
Years ago the north faces of the Alps where a real big challenge for great mountaineers. Today, due to the new equipement, the north faces are less hard to climb. Still, do not underestimate the danger of alpine ice climbing.
