I have responded to some of the earlier comments via private message, therefore you could not see my reply to an earlier camera related question. In 2005 I used a Panasonic DMC-FZ1 camera, and have been postponing purchasing a more serious one for the past few years...

I believe it was mainly the photo's atmosphere, that touched so many hearts: most of us nature and mountain lovers dream of living in this type of idyllic environment...
And last, but not least: hats off to all past POW winners, and this week's top contributor: "2 climbaxes", whose marvelous shots, one by one deserve top honors in a variety of categories...
