There are 319 lakes in Trentino ( 6.212 kmq).These lakes are mostly of glacial origin (Glaciazioni pleistoceniche).In the Alpine and sub Alpine region can be distinguished lakes according to altitude, geology, mountain ranges.

Getting there: Lake Garda can easily be reached by all means of transport. The important motorways of northern Italy run parallel to Lake Garda and lead to Verona, Milan and Venice. To travel round Lake Garda you can use public buses which cover the whole region. Almost al towns on Lake Garda can also be reached via boat or ferry.

Riva del Garda can easily be reached from north and south along the Brennero state road 12 and the motorway A22 (exit Rovereto Sud/Lago di garda Nord, 15 km distance from the toll gate), then along the SS 240 state road. Coming from Trento along the SS 45/bis. Coming from the south/Lake Garda along the SS 249.

Getting there: Car:Brennero motorway A 22, exit at the toll gate Rovereto Sud, state road SS 240, coming from Riva del Garda and Storo.
Public transport:
To the railway station FS Rovereto, from there by bus (45 km).
Airplane:
The nearest airports are Catullo in Verona (90 km distance), Marco Polo in Venice (195 km), Milano Linate (245 km) and the new airport in Bolzano (60 km).

Getting there:Starting from Riva del Garda, Arco and take the SS45bis to continue following the road signs for Trento.
From Trento - Follow SS45bis to Lake Garda.
