Alternate Descent Option

A view of an alternate descent option of the northeast chimney route, for those not wishing to descend the chimney. This point is located on the east ridge ±200 yards below and to the east of the top of the chimney. In order to avoid a somewhat tricky 6-foot vertical step, we excavated the notch in the ridge at far left. The view is from the upper bench on the northeast face of Buck Mountain.
