Voted 10/10 | Does this rock formation have a name? I don't think this is "Sange Shir", is it? Is it on the summit of Alvand? | | Posted Jul 17, 2006 8:34 pm |

Hasn't voted | This is the summit of Alvand mount. Its name is "Chekad-e Alvand" (means Alvand's summit).
This beautiful and holy summit is similar to a lion and there was a fire-temple and a castle around this summit from Acaemenian time(500 BC), and we can see its destroied walls now.
"Sang-e Shir" is a stony statue in the city,Hamedan from 2700 years ago, from Medas empire time. | | Posted Jul 28, 2006 11:38 pm |
