Approach from Marine's Camp

A sunset view of the final approach from Marine's Camp (elev. 10,700') to the Whitney Glacier route. A more or less level traverse of the lower Bolam Glacier (foreground) towards the upper of two talus heaps about 1/3 of the way up the Witney-Bolam ridge (middle distance) will put you in perfect position to gain the glacier and begin the climb.
