August 1961 Walker Spur summit

August 31th 1961 - At the summit of the Walker spur with my mate Habib (Marcel Zerf), wearing a "miners" helmet, very unusual in those days. Habib a Renault Billancourt worker like many French algerian born was pushing aroung the FLN money and to get away as much as he could of all this bloody mess was going climbing every week-end without coming back to Paris, preferring to bivouac whatever the conditions.
