Badlands Notch Trail

Notch Trail in Badlands National Park, SD. There is some "exposure" along this trail as you approach the Notch--something really fun for younger children (not too young, it truly can be scary with a sloped, 6"-wide trail and about a 15-foot drop). At the end is the Notch, which rewards with a fine view of the Buffalo National Grasslands to the south. Imaged in July 2000.
