I wanted to climb Baker in December, but the roads were bad, so I did it in the summer. I probably should have waited 'til winter, because there was a lot of deadfall and very dense vegetation (especially in the evergreen forests, aspen groves aren't nearly as bad). Still, I made pretty good time. I started at 8:15, reached the summit just before 10, and got back down to Muddy Pass at 11:50. I saw no one else. Beautiful area.
"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."
