Fantastic perch
What an awesome spot! Great feeling of isolation with minimal effort, despite the view of Kernville to the south. Views to the north are actually better at the saddle close to the trailhead.
The narrow asphalt road leading here was very busy... drivers beware!

KRV Hiking Club
I took 7 members of the Kern River Valley Hiking Club to the Baker Point Lookout. This was my fourth ascent, but this is the first time I noticed the giant stick coming out of Baker Point so I got to sign the register this time.

Great hike!What a great hike to an amazing viewpoint! The view is simply incredible... One of the best in the southern Sierra :)
