Easy road stroll of FS 22510 off of Nye Canyon road with a short bit of scrambling at the end. Parked about a mile short of where 22510 turns south. Better 4WD vehicles could drive nearly to the summit.
Resist the temptation to take 22511 or head cross country once the peak is in view- 22510 swings around to go right past the peak.
I hiked from the bend in the road before it turns south. One could drive very close to the summit if one were willing to drive some rough partially washed-out sections, but I took a pleasant stroll instead. A plane was circling around the peak a couple of times while I was there with some close approaches to the ground. Nice views from this gentle summit. Lots of bear tracks.
Parked at the Nye Canyon road entrance and started hiking before dawn. Mostly a road hike with some easy cross country.
Clear skies and good views of the Sweetwaters and Mount Grant.
Observed bear tracks on the road.
"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."
