Bamboo Grove Crag - Yangshuo

I made a short visit to Bamboo Grove. The sun was intense and there was no shade on the ground or on the wall. There are 3 'sport' routes, but in Oct 07, there was only about 2 bolts, total. Most of the hangers were stripped. The routes are pretty easy with plenty of options for protection if you have medium size pro. We wandered up the wall and continued past the anchor of Crippled Swallow (5.7) for another 30m all on traditional protection (5.6/5.7). There's a nice chimney up there but it's really not worth the effort to get there unless you're looking for a real adventure. Continuing will require some serious bush whacking.
