The cloud formation was a rare one for what I normally see in the Sierra summertime. The combination of the clouds and the unusual geography made for one of two prints I'll frame in memory of this trip. Even though the background mountains are reflected in the lake, they are in actuality separated from the lake by the vast and deep Evolution Valley... I find that kind of bizarre. I shot the scene 8:30 AM with a tripod and the following settings: 20mm, f/18, Shutter @ 1/25, ISO 800 and Exp. Compensation: -.7.
