you've prompted me to re-scan the original photo, which is my profile pic after all...
The shot was taken on pitch 1 of a route called Oddshouters Outing on Table Mountain's Africa Ledge in 2002. The overall grade for the route is 22/5.11 but the first pitch goes at a more moderate 19/5.10a. The more significant difficulties are found several pitches higher up.
There is a bit of cunning deception in the photo since the pitch consists of a horizontal traverse out of the traditional tea cave on Africa Ledge, and the climber is only about 3m off the ground at the point shown.
On a typical weekend the tea cave will be populated by boisterous bunch of local trad climbers who will shout the odds and offer plenty of unsoliced advice to anyone doing this route - hence the name.
