beware of shifting talus

beware of shifting talus
In these blocks I found John Mendenhall's ancient and rusted can of Pork 'n Beans. Might sell it on eBay for a few million dollars! Ruth disliked the boiling hot fire road they hiked in on each Sunday.

Coming off the center cliff face is a water drainage that has created a long gully reaching down to the meadows; it's full of oak trees and leaves. Hike up this rather than the dangerous talus blocks; but avoid the poison oak as well. (SM)
