Overview
Big Bickford Mountain is a 3,000 footer in Grafton County New Hampshire . It climbs to 3,255 feet (992.12 meters) above sea level. It ranks as the 145th highest mountain in New Hampshire. The closest peaks to Big Bickford Mountain are Scarface Mountain, Flat Top Mountain, and Priest Hill.
If you are going to climb Big Bickford Mountain and reach the "summit" you will be bushwhacking through some open woods all the way to within a few hundred feet of ledges with great terrain, mixed pines, spruce and oak with various random vistas to the east and north. are no defined trails, but the mountain is relatively small so if you are to aim "up" then you will reach the summit.
Getting There
You can park on the east side of Route 3 about a half a mile north of the parking lot for the Skookumchuck Trail and walk in on a snow-mobile road (in the winter.)
Red Tape
No defined trails, so in the winter months bring a compass, map, snowshoes and great company.
