Got a couple ideas for southern Idaho this year. Will try to make it out to City of Rock later in the spring & would really want to go back to the Sawtooths.

ID sure is one hell of a great state for climbing!!

Cheers.

I had this one on my tick list for this summer as it is an Idaho Prominence peak (click on the map to make it bigger). One of the more interesting peaks in Idaho and one I noted from Bear Den Butte last year when chasing after some of the Idaho county highpoints. I'm glad to see you put this neat one up.

Thanks Dean.

What kind of itinerary do you have running for '05?

Here's a few hoped for in Idaho this year:

Borah

Diamond

Hyndman

He / She Devil

Big Southern Butte

Cuddy Mtn

Illinois Pk

Oxford

Black Pine

Harrison

and a few in the SE corner of Idaho

Of course, there is always reality. Last year we got chased off of Diamond by thunderstorms and had to dodge them on almost every trip. Still, the top four on the above list are all really important and will get priority.

It is a pretty interesting mountain, just out there alone.

Nice page BDog. I've only seen this one from the distance but looks like an interesting climb.

I think most people have only seen it from a distance.

Great page. I loved the Mrs. W. A. Loughary quote. The history of the mountain is something that a lot of SP pages lack. I noticed that a lot of new Idaho pages have gone up recently. I'll need to spend some time there!

Yes I believe that quote: hiking all day long and not getting nearer. This mountain just looks like that. Great page!
