Bivuac Luigi pascal

Bivuac Luigi pascal

The bivuac Luigi Pascal at 2920m, as seen from Testa di Liconi (few metres higher) in the morning dusk. It was a beautiful mid-october 2006 sunrise there, and a little bit chilly morning.

Re: beacons

Hi, Eric! Although the "things" can refer to multiple objects, I guess probably you mean the objects which look like inverted triangles, few meters high. As far as I know they are there to prevent the top snow cap from triggering a major avalanche. Now since 2006 there are also new avalanche fences.

Re: beacons

Thanks. Amazing that a few things like that can help in preventing avalanches.
Fantastic photograph!
