Approaching the Void

Headed up the moraine of the Yerupaja Sur Glacier (coming up from Sarapococha) in the Cordillera Huayhuash in Peru. The visible peak is Yerupaja (6617m), the second highest peak in Peru. Siula Grande, of "Touching the Void" fame, is along that ridge to the right. Photo: J. Bryndal

kick ass

Saw the photo, & the fluted snow ribs rising to the ridgeline, & thought to meself, 'That's gotta be Peru.' Looks awesome. What was the outcome of the trip?
