Blue Lagoon in Iceland

Blue Lagoon in Iceland

The Blue Lagoon is located between 2 continents where the Eurasian and American tectonic plates meet. The seawater originates 2,000m beneath the ground where it is heated by earth’s natural forces. The milky aqua marine blue water of this lagoon is 37-39 degrees and is rich in blue-green algae, mineral salts and fine silica mud. The lagoon sits in a fantastic landscape of black lava rock.

Nice place!

It makes me want to be there floating. Right now.

Re: Nice place!

Yes, me too...it was one of those perfect and most beautiful moments when there was nowhere else I'd rather be.

Re: Wow!

I know! I was floating around in the warm water with a light snow falling, what a dreamy place. Ok, then I had to get out and run through the snow in my flip flops..but, no need to go into that.
