Good . . .fishing at this lake. The biggest fish are right neat this spot. Camped almost straight across from the lake where this pic was taken, in the trees above the beach. A nice picture of a fun place.

Re: Good . . .To tell the truth, I've caught some nice fish at almost every foot of the shoreline over the years. Round Lake has turned into the spot my son and I feel comfortable taking some of his "newbie" backpacker friends because of the fishing, swimming, scenery and ease of access from Carson Pass. It's just far enough to let a new backpacker know that they've "earned it" without burning them out and has some fantastic little excursion hikes to other destinations nearby.
