I mention threat of land mines where it exists, don't worry. Monte Negro was out of war completely. Their troops went to Croatia to fight but war wasn't fought on Monte Negro territory.
:-) Sto drugo da ti kazem nego puno ti hvala! Baci oko ponovo, sad je bolja stranica, jos sam je malo dotjerao graficki, a i cijeli donji dio u 'Ukratko o Durmitoru' sekciji, ispod pasusa 'Klime', je falio. Slucajno sam obrisao pri razno raznim izmjenama.
Thanks Ryan, very much!!! I've fixed that error, paragraph is now OK. I think that it was fault of the server because after posting I rechecked the page so many times and everything was normal. Maybe after some update it swallowed 'link closure' :-)
Thanks bigwilly! I cannot answer that because if I write the command line SP will recognize it and execute the command. Go to FAQ section (link at the bottom of the page) and there you have command line and other HTML tips.
Really fine pages! I'm traveling to Montenegro next week with my daughter and after seeing these pages I decided that Bobotov Kuk is a must. I'm relieved that the question of land mines also was answered.
We're planning to take the Sedlo pass route which is easier and shorter for this 13-year old daughter. Is it possible to hitch-hike from Zabljak to Sedlo and back to Zabljak in the evening? Are there any traffic on the road?
There are no mines in Montenegro, there was no war there, don't worry.
There can be many cars parked on Sedlo because many people climb Bobotov Kuk from there. Of course it is possible to hitch-hike or ask someone to take you to Zabljak. But there is no guarantee that someone will take you because cars can already be full or because road is in quite bad shape so people don't won't to put too much weight in. If you ask me best option is, and I mentioned it in the text, to take a taxi from Zabljak to Sedlo. You can also arrange with the driver to wait for you when you descent. Ask for it in the hotel or tourist info office. If that is too expensive (around 20 euros if I remember correctly) you can try luck with hitch-hiking. Enjoy Durmitor!
Word kuk means hip but here in Dinaric (western) part of the Balkan, in Slavic languages, word kuk is also used to describe rocky peak made of cliffs. Bobot could be a male name of some shepherd who wandered there so the name Bobotov Kuk would be The Cliff of Bobot. That extension ov comes because of case declension of personal name. Complicated? :-) What kuk means in Swedish?
