Hasn't voted | I would like to post some photos from the bottom of a crevasse, but I can't figure out how to add the regular pictures? Or how to vote? or who to ask these questions :) | | Posted Jan 31, 2013 6:55 pm |

Hasn't voted | So glad you asked. I had the idea to drop our video camera down the crevasse and my husband came up with the idea of a fishing pole ( a sturdy deep sea one) We put the camera facing up in large pumpkin can.( padded). It spun around a bit, but it eventually touched the bottom and took some still video. I have made a video for myself that I have enjoyed so many times from the warmth and safety of my house. I don't know if we'll ever venture up there again, so the video is such a treasure to me. I was hoping to pass on our successful experiment to others who might want to try it. It looks like a beautiful, churning, frozen sea. Thanks again for your direction. | | Posted Feb 3, 2013 12:16 am |

Hasn't voted | Great idea! Did you post your video on Web (e.g. youtube)? I would love to see it. | | Posted Feb 3, 2013 11:09 am |

Hasn't voted | About my videos. I haven't posted any of them anywhere. They are pretty personal and include my view of a creator God, scripture, etc. I also usually use Music, which I don't have a copy right to post publicly. But I want to thank you and the other "real climbers" for posting your photos and stories. I have enjoyed them so much and am in total awe of the scenery and your experiences. Maybe I will even get brave enough to spend a night up there, so I'll have enough time to soak in the beauty and video some more.Summiting has never been my goal. Our trip was a one day event so there was no time to day dream. Thanks again for the encouragement. Sheila | | Posted Feb 4, 2013 11:17 pm |

Hasn't voted | You're welcome.
Perhaps some day you would like to visit Hidden Valley on Shasta once the snow is gone. It’s a nice place to relax and contemplate. Just check for the trail clearance and water availability before you go. | | Posted Feb 5, 2013 4:44 pm |
