6.9 miles each way, 3,300' gained going up, 1,264' gained going down.
The chute is quite steep and full of loose rocks, some quite large and perched precariously. Recommend a helmet if climbing/descending in parties of 2+.

McFarland PeakSaw a few wild horses. It hailed lightly right after we left the summit.
