Boulder Chain of Lakes
Looking down the beautiful "Boulder Chain of Lakes" from Lonesome Peak. The closest one is Lonesome Lake, second highest lake in Idaho at 10435'.

You’ve almost got it. There are actually eight lakes visible. Five up high (Lonesome, Headwall, Scoop, Hummock, & Hourglass), and three more nestled tightly together farther down (Lodgepole, Sliderock, & Shelf). Four more can’t quite be seen (Hidden, Hatchet, Willow, & Waterdog), for a grand total of 12 named lakes in the Boulder Chain. Gotta love it!
