Officially 5810 feet of elevation.

If you have numerous dollars, you can live in heaven. They forgot the locked gate open yesterday and I got pictures. South of the ultra-destination town of Moab, perfect land was obtained and an access created. The county requires many acres for each house. The dirt road is narrow and steep, but not very long. US highway 191 passes right by. Most of the sound is therefore below and distant.

Name origin?

According to Van Cott's "Utah Place Names" book, a Piute Indian medicine man (Bridger Jack) tried to cure Posey's (who?) sick child. The child died and the medicine man was killed.

Getting there:

About 20 miles south of downtown Moab and just north of Kane Springs rest stop on US 191, a dirt road takes off parallel on the west side, with the locked gate right at the beginning, and some "for sale" signs.
