Brown trout

In the larger pools, these little guys are hangin' out. According to the guide book, these trout are native to the springs. It also says that they could have migrated upstream to the springs from the Provo River. They don't get very big because all they eat are extremely small bugs and fresh water shrimp. And, the pools are not very deep. Probably the deepest is about 3 ft. The water stays a balmy 48 degrees year round. Very interesting stuff.
