Nice shot Haydar!

Not to be too anal....but :)

Martin's on 1st P of Friday's Jinx. The 1st pitch of Crack of Infinity (10b) is waaaay out on the left (not much of it is visible); 1st pitch Crack of Infinity Variation (10a) follows the right-facing & curving dihedral about 10 feet left of Martin. All three join up at 1st belay (then Jinx goes up; Infinity takes off up and left).

Flipping thru. your photos, you guys really flew thru. a bunch of routes eh? Nice job.

Re: Nice shot Haydar!

Ooops, my misunderstanding of the route, I edited the caption. You are right we started with this pitch and then did the 5.8 left trending crack followed by the last short overhangig pitch to the top.

Re: Nice shot Haydar!

What did you think about that one?

I love that middle handcrack pitch - it doesn't get the crowds it deserves (a good thing!).

sorry man - did not mean to be an anal pain in the ass (redundant phrase?? :)

Re: Nice shot Haydar!

It was Bruce's turn to lead and I tried to convince him to try that 10B roof fingercrack on the normal start, but he sort of laughed at me after looking at that thing (it looks like 5.12, must be some hidden holds). We decided to just do the easy start.

I thought the second and third pitches were both really nice. Great handjambs on the second. The third is short but pretty fun with the overhang.

Re: Nice shot Haydar!

I agree - that 10b standard start looks mighty tough for the grade. I too remember wondering what gives??

Glad you guys liked the route!
