Bugaboo-Snowpatch Col Bivy

[ Sizes: Orig | Small | Thumb ]
Bugaboo-Snowpatch Col Bivy
Howser Towers and the upper Vowell Glacier provide an acceptable backdrop to a bivy at Bugaboo-Snowpatch Col. North Howser, at 11,150' (3,400m), is the highest peak in the Bugaboo Group. The West face (other side) is 3,000 feet of clean, near-vertical rock.

Photo taken July, 1987. Check whether camping here is still permitted before hauling your gear up.

Camping's not allowed here anymore - it's too bad; such a lovely spot.
