Bypassing a crevasse on the Le Conte Glacier as we ascend towards the 7300-foot gap on Sentinel Peak on Stage 3 of the Ptarmigan Traverse. We'd started the day in brilliant sunshine, but these clouds turned into a fine thunderstorm. We got to practice donning rain gear while roped, then followed our compass all the way around Sentinel to the South Cascade Glacier.



This was my last photo before reaching camp at White Rock Lakes.
