Cabbage Thistle flower cluster
Cabbage Thistle (Cirsium oleraceum) is a perennial belonging to the family Asteraceae. It likes wet lowland soils and can be often found by mountain streams. Young plant and its stems are edible. Pale yellow blossoms appear from July to October and attract a variety of insects.
