Ok, please meet the...

Barrel Cactus. This is obviously a very young specimen. They can get several feet tall. They are common around Lake Mead also.

no way? a baby barrel cactus....I love barrel cactus, have them in my yard...tons of older ones around Red Rocks...but did not realize this was the same specimen...thanks
