I had planned to be there on the date you shot this, but had to cancel my trip. Thanks for posting this, I see what I missed. I have one from this spot exactly two years earlier (same date!) with virtually no snow.

Cuchara, Early July

Dear Bill, My wife and I stayed at Yellow Pine and La Veta Inn . I had never seen the parade on the 4th. It was great. We got to hike Teddys peak and English Saddle, the summit to the north of Trinchera. Best tundra flowers I have ever seen. Thanks for your comments. Regards, Charles Baxter (slowbutsteady)
