California Condor

Another up close photo of those condors, both clearly tagged under the wings. Pair of California Condors sunning themselves at the Lee's Ferry Crossing, north of the Grand Canyon, AZ, November, 2007 (you can easily see their banded number tags on zoom). There were only three individuals, all males, known to be living free in late 1986. As of the end of fiscal year 2005, 59 condors flew free in Grand Canyon National Park and surrounding areas.
