Great scene!Just somehow hits my soft spot for the Blue Ridge Mountains with the evergreens, ridges in the distance and clouds threatening in the afternoon (?).
As much as I love the Rockies, I can't enough of these shots! Thanks!

Like you, I love the Blue Ridge as well the Rockies. I can't really put it properly in words, but there is such a different feel to the ranges. Obviously the scenery is much different.
One thing I will say though is that maybe the views are so special in the Blue Ridge, because of how hard a hiker has to work to get to them. My son was amazed last year on his first trip to Colorado. He couldn't believe how much quicker one gets to see the mountains out there.
