Campa / Nevado Huamantilla

Looking south at the Campa massif, from the Campa Pass. The pass is part of the popular Ausangate Circuit trekking route. I ascended the rounded snowy top second from the left. It was higher than the big rocky top just left of it, and higher than the snowier top on the far left. The highest point of the large rocky massif in the centre of the pic is what I assumed to be the highest point of Campa / Jampa / Huamantilla. The normal route comes in from the right (northwest). My ascent to the little snow top was mostly scree and boulders, done just before dawn, then a short crampon up steepish snow. 9th June 2011.
