Campanula Waldsteiniana is rare rather then widespread
low-growing perennial member of the Campanulaceae family.
Handsome, bell-shaped, bluish-lilac flower feeling most comfortable inside the rock cracks.
Each flower has a 2-cm long pedicel , which springs from the axils of the main stem leaves.
Locally known as Waldsteinova zvončika,
Campanula Waldsteiniana flowers July and August only.
Namesake of the flower specie is Austrian 18th century bothanist Franz de Paula Adam von Waldstein, a longtime bothanical research partner of renowned Hungarian bothanist
