Thanks for the nice write-up on Canyon Creek Peak. Technically Canyon Creek Point/Peak is accessible year-round but only from Banner Summit. Parking between Grandjean and Banner is prohibited between November 15th and May 15th. There are signs at both Grandjean and Banner Summit. The Idaho Transportation Department focuses on forecasting natural avalanches and if parking was permitted they would have to account for human-triggered avalanches (parking is also prohibited for obvious safety reasons). The approach from Banner Summit would require a roundtrip of 12 miles and over 4,000' of gain.
